We are looking for a Learning and Development Specialist I to join BrokerLink and work out of any of our Ontario Branches. On a Permanent FT Basis.

Successful candidate will report to Learning & Development in Human Resources. Primary role will be to instruct within our regional training discipline by teaching in our PI Foundations and PI Edge programs. Create and deliver instructor led training in soft skills, behavioural skills, product knowledge, and leadership skills.  Use adult learning principles to deliver engaging and interactive learning experiences through a range of methodologies. Prepare, support, and train employees and in delivering an exceptional customer experience increasing individual productivity and building various skills and competencies. Align training with current strategic objectives. Adhere to department, program and regulatory policies and procedures.

What the Role Entails:

• This position is for the Regional training Discipline for the region of Ontario.
• Educates employees through one or more of the L & D Disciplines.
• Research, create, prepare, and present educational materials.
• Support the adoption and application of workplace learning
• Ongoing administrative management on existing and completed training courses and programs.
• Consistently participate in program planning in collaboration with team members and external stakeholders. Identifying and developing solutions to fill training gaps locally, regionally, and nationally.
• Consistently participate in various projects within the HR department and other departments. Performing other duties as needed.

The Successful candidate will have:

• Adult Education Certification is an asset.
• CAIB 1 & 2 or three CIP courses
• 3-5 years of Insurance experience as a Personal Insurance Advisor
• 1 Year of instructional experience is an asset
• Strong application of National workflows
• Sales & service skills
• Adaptability
• Facilitation and teaching abilities
• Ability to use the following programs:
  • EPIC, MS Office Suite, Insurer Portal use, various program delivery platforms.
