Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to provide essential support and assistance to our clients in various settings, including home care, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, and hospice care. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for seniors and individuals with disabilities by delivering personalized care and ensuring their comfort and safety.

Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care services, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting assistance.
  • Administer medications as prescribed and monitor clients for any adverse reactions.
  • Assist with mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting when necessary.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties.
  • Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote social interaction and mental stimulation.
  • Document daily care activities and report any changes in the client's condition to the appropriate personnel.
  • Support clients with meal preparation and nutritional needs as required.
  • Foster a trusting relationship with clients while respecting their privacy and dignity.

Experience

  • Previous experience in senior care, patient care, or home care is preferred but not required.
  • Familiarity with hospice care practices is a plus.
  • Knowledge of medication administration protocols is beneficial.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks associated with caregiving, including heavy lifting.
  • A compassionate nature with excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients and their families.
  • Certification in caregiving or related fields is an advantage but not mandatory.
