Overview

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse Worker to join our dynamic distribution center team. This role involves various tasks related to warehouse operations, including order fulfillment, shipping and receiving, heavy equipment operation, and inventory management. The ideal candidate will have prior warehouse experience and familiarity with warehouse management systems, heavy machinery, and safety protocols. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills in manufacturing, logistics, and warehouse management within a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, cranes, and order pickers safely and efficiently
  • Load and unload shipments using appropriate equipment and techniques
  • Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment accurately according to specifications
  • Manage inventory levels through proper storage, labeling, and organization
  • Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) like AS400 for tracking inventory and order processing
  • Assist with shipping & receiving activities, ensuring timely processing of goods
  • Perform heavy lifting as required for moving products or materials within the warehouse
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by adhering to safety standards
  • Support manufacturing or construction-related tasks as needed for project support or equipment setup
  • Operate heavy machinery safely during loading/unloading processes while complying with safety regulations

Experience

  • Prior warehouse experience is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for all equipment operation including forklifts, reach trucks, cranes, and order pickers
  • Mechanical knowledge or background in manufacturing or construction is advantageous
  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems such as AS400 or similar platforms is a plus
  • Experience with shipping & receiving procedures and order fulfillment processes is desirable
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting regularly and operate heavy equipment safely is essential
  • Proven ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments with attention to detail and safety compliance
