Job Description

GB Projects is the civil construction division of the GB group of companies. We require a LCT to join our team. We are looking for an individual with experience in underground utilities, roadworks, and paving projects.

You will be working in civil construction on municipal within the Greater Vancouver area.

We are looking for hard working, positive and reliable individuals who have the potential to grow with us at GB group of companies.

Responsibilities:

  • Always demonstrate a positive attitude towards work and others.
  • Demonstrating the highest level of professionalism and customer service always.
  • Keep the work zone safe for customers, employees, and all public.
  • Working well with others and taking instruction from Field Supervisors.
  • Lead Traffic Control persons, providing direction and guidance to set up and tear down signs, work zone delineations, and ensure safe traffic control.
  • Effectively conduct traffic control at worksites within the scope of training to protect workers, the public, and our employees.
  • Comply with all Acts, Regulations, Guidelines, Policies, and Procedures for health and safety.
  • Participate in accident/incident investigations as required and complete necessary forms and reports for due diligence and compliance.
  • Attend health and safety tool-box/tailgate meetings to discuss work related matters.
  • Hazards must be addressed in a Field Level Risk Assessment (FLRA) and must be complete prior to work commencing.
  • Report health and safety matters, non-compliance issues, or conflicts with any company employee to the company's Area Manager or Health and Safety Officer.
  • Set up traffic control zones.
  • Give clear and precise traffic control directions and signals for motorists' understanding.
  • Monitor the traffic and work zone and modify when scope of work changes.

Requirements:

  • We require a minimum of 3 years LCT experience with valid tickets
  • You will be required to provide your own 6-inch upper steel-toed boots
  • You must be legally able to work in Canada
  • Work permit accepted

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $30.00-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
