Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Junior Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst to join our dynamic software development team. The ideal candidate will assist in testing and validating a wide range of applications across multiple platforms, including mobile and web. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills in automated testing, software quality processes, and cross-functional collaboration. The Junior QA Analyst will work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure the delivery of high-quality software products that meet user expectations and industry standards.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test cases for mobile applications (Android and iOS) and web platforms.
- Utilize testing tools such as Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, and Visual Studio to automate test scripts and improve testing efficiency.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing across various operating systems including Windows, Linux, and cloud environments such as AWS and Azure.
- Collaborate with development teams to understand application architecture using technologies like Java, C#, .NET, Python, PHP, , and SQL databases (MySQL, Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server).
- Identify, document, and track bugs using Jira or TFS; work with developers to troubleshoot issues related to UI/UX, backend services, or network configurations.
- Conduct data analysis using SQL/PLSQL queries to verify data integrity and application behavior.
- Assist in setting up Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab, GitHub, SVN, or TFS for automated build and deployment processes.
- Review requirements specifications to ensure testability; participate in sprint planning and review meetings within Agile or DevOps environments.
- Maintain detailed documentation of test cases, test results, and defect reports; contribute to improving QA processes and best practices.
Experience
- Proven experience with software testing tools such as Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, JUnit, Visual Studio Testing Tools.
- Familiarity with mobile application testing on Android and iOS platforms using relevant emulators or devices.
- Knowledge of programming languages including Java, C#, Python, PHP, C++, or JavaScript for automation scripting.
- Hands-on experience working with databases like MySQL, Oracle, or Microsoft SQL Server; proficiency in writing SQL queries for data validation.
- Understanding of DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Git (GitHub/GitLab), SVN/TFS for version control and CI/CD pipelines.
- Exposure to cloud services like AWS or Azure is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets; excellent problem-solving capabilities.
- Familiarity with REST APIs and web technologies including HTML/CSS/XML for UI testing.
- Knowledge of operating systems including Windows and Linux; experience with UI frameworks such as MVC is advantageous. This position is ideal for candidates eager to grow their expertise in quality assurance within a fast-paced technology environment while contributing to the delivery of reliable software solutions across diverse platforms.
