Job Overview

As a Prep Cook, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our kitchen operates smoothly by assisting in meal preparation and maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness.

Duties

  • Assist in the preparation of ingredients for cooking, including washing, chopping, and measuring.
  • Follow recipes and instructions from the head chef or kitchen manager to ensure consistency in food quality.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, including utensils, equipment, and storage areas.
  • Adhere to food safety guidelines and regulations to ensure safe food handling practices.
  • Support the cooking staff during meal service by preparing dishes as needed.
  • Participate in cleaning duties at the end of shifts to maintain a sanitary kitchen environment.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in the food industry or restaurant setting is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong teamwork skills with a willingness to help others in the kitchen.
