Operating for 20 years, Junglesport services over 250 schools each year Junglesport is currently looking for two full-time (37.5 hours/week) instructors for the school year and beyond. This job will be primarily based in Halton Region (Burlington, Oakville, Milton, and surrounding areas) and Peel Region (Mississauga and Brampton).Job ResponsibilitiesWorking with co-instructors, your responsibilities will include:Set up and tear down the Junglesport structure each weekPerform daily inspections of safety equipmentDemonstrate, support, and supervise the use of Low Rope activities for younger studentsDemonstrate, support, and supervise the use of Fixed Line and Top Rope systemsChangeover of activities throughout the weekAdhere to company policies, procedure, and curriculumDemonstrate strong risk management skillsEnsure the safe and professional delivery of Junglesport programs*Benefits of working with Junglesport**A fun, interactive work dayA great opportunity to gain teaching experience with a range of ages and abilitiesA fantastic opportunity for people with interests in kinesiology, physical fitness, coaching, teaching, and outdoor recreationSchool contracts allow for time off around school breaks such as Christmas, March Break and summersPay starting at $18-20Opportunity for pay increases and progression based on performanceTravel compensation for long commutes (>50km or >1 hour)**Qualifications and Skills**Minimum 1 year instructional experience working with youth aged 4-16Experience in recreation or education such as camps, outdoor programs, or teachingClimbing experience is beneficial, but not requiredComfortable with heightsAbility to lift up to 50lbs for setups and teardownsStrong interpersonal communication skills, diligence, and professionalismG License and reliable vehicle access is essential due to the mobile nature of the companyPrograms are booked in a consistent geographical area; however, some extra driving may be occasionally requiredAbility to work and problem solve with minimal supervisionExperience driving a pickup truck and trailer is a considerable assetVulnerable Sector Police Check RequireTrailer towing experience a significant assetClean Vulnerable Sector Police Check RequiredClean Motor Vehicle Record (3 year Abstract)**Personal Qualities**Excited to learn new skillsThrives in an active and fast paced environmentStrong attention to detail*Job Type: Full-timePay: $19.00-$21.00 per hourExperience:coaching: 1 year (preferred)Trailer Towing: 1 year (preferred)Licence/Certification:Class G Licence (required)Work Location: In person
