Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Early Childhood Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about fostering young children's development and learning through engaging, age-appropriate activities. This role involves creating a nurturing classroom environment that promotes social, emotional, and cognitive growth. Bilingual abilities, especially in English and French, are highly valued to support diverse student needs. Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards
  • Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment conducive to learning and development
  • Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication
  • Observe and assess children's developmental progress and tailor activities accordingly
  • Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting teaching strategies and activities
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and classroom activities
  • Collaborate with team members to organize educational events and classroom routines
  • Utilize computer skills for record keeping, lesson planning, and communication purposes
  • Manage classroom behavior using positive guidance techniques
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times

Qualifications

  • Proven experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting
  • Early childhood education certification or relevant teaching credentials preferred
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and French is highly desirable
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and team members
  • Knowledge of special education practices and working with children with disabilities is a plus
  • Excellent organizational skills for lesson planning and classroom management
  • Ability to demonstrate leadership qualities within the classroom environment
  • Good computer operation skills for documentation, communication, and educational tools
  • Exceptional time management skills to balance multiple responsibilities efficiently
  • Writing skills necessary for report writing and parent communication
