Position Overview:

We have an opportunity for you to join our production team as an Inspector Level C at our Cambridge, Ontario facility. Each member of our team plays a critical role in BWXT Canada's success and in ensuring we meet our customers' quality, cost and delivery expectations. Our employees are considered the best in the industry, and we are proud of the high level of skills they demonstrate every day. Inspector C's will conduct non-destructive examinations.

Location:

On-site in Cambridge, Ontario

Your Day to Day as an Inspector C:


•Perform NDE in all areas of the Shop.


•Read and interpret documentation, including drawings and operating procedures.


•Create inspection reports, maintain and file documentation.


•Demonstrate good workmanship and practices.


•Communicate effectively with internal team members (i.e. peers, production leadership, project management, engineering) as well as customer representatives.


•Work in a safe manner, complying with all health, safety and environmental guidelines/regulations.


•Understand and adhere to quality requirements and productivity expectations.

Required Qualifications:


•Proven commitment to workplace safety.


•Previous experience in a heavy manufacturing environment or in nuclear power-related industry.


•Commitment to quality and the ability to work as a positive, effective team member, willing to go the extra mile to ensure we meet our customer expectations.


•Proficiency with computer software.


•Must possess MT Level 2 AND PT Level 2 PLUS 2 of the following:

o CEDO

o UT CGSB-1

o RT CGSB-1

o 2 years as a Fabrication/Machining inspector with BWXT

o 5 years as Fabrication/Machine inspector with documented evidence from an external company or 5 years Fitting/Welding experience within BWXT

o Certified Weld Inspector (AWS-CWI or CWB2)


•Available to work all shifts:

o Weekday days: 6:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. (Mon – Thurs) OR

o Weekday afternoons: 4:00 p.m. – 2:00 a.m. (Mon – Thurs) OR

o Weekend days: 6:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (Fri, Sat, Sun; paid for 40 hours) OR

o Weekend afternoons: 5:00 p.m. – 4:00 a.m. (Fri, Sat, Sun; paid for 40 hours)
