Edon is anticipating growth in the Red Deer area and is looking for an experienced Grounds Manager. This position will oversee all outdoor maintenance and landscaping operations. You will manage a team and ensure the grounds are safe, attractive, and maintained to the highest standards year-round.

Important Note: Applicants must reside in the Red Deer area to be considered.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage groundskeeping teams, including seasonal staff.
  • Plan and execute landscaping, snow removal, and grounds maintenance programs.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and environmental regulations.
  • Manage budgets, equipment, and vendor relationships for grounds services.
  • Collaborate with campus stakeholders to support sustainability initiatives

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in grounds or landscape management.
  • Proven leadership skills with experience managing teams and contractors.
  • Knowledge of horticulture, irrigation systems, and snow/ice control practices.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Valid driver's license; certifications in grounds maintenance or horticulture are assets.
