Looking for 1 Full time and 2 Part time team-oriented housekeepers who want to perform job routines that ensure a consistently clean and safe environment for residents in a long-term care residence. Adhere to all written policies and procedures of Fairview. Follow infection prevention and control procedures, using best practice guidelines. Follow WHMIS 2015 and learn all fire safety and emergency plan procedures in place. Work safely, following all Safety Guidelines, as posted in the facility. Report any immediate or potential hazards to the department director. Follow daily routine list assigned in each Home area including cleaning and disinfecting resident rooms and public spaces, garbage collection, sweeping, mopping, dusting and other tasks as assigned. Perform all tasks with an acceptable standard of skill and sense of responsibility. Keep work area clean and tidy, including equipment. Attend meetings, training and in-services as required

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Must be available to work a variety of shifts starting

  • Weekend work required

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • Experience in a Long Term Care setting an asset

  • Experience with housekeeping duties

  • Must be able to work independently as well as being a team player

  • Excellent customer service skills

DUTIES MAY INCLUDE:

  • Housecleaning of resident rooms/bathrooms and common spaces

  • Cleaning of equipment

  • Mopping/vacuuming resident rooms and common spaces

  • Ensuring proper disinfecting procedures when performing daily tasks

  • Other duties as assigned

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $19.95 per hour
