Join us as a Data Analyst, Business Transformation, where you'll help shape data-driven decision-making across our Business Transformation and People teams. In this role, you'll use descriptive and predictive analytics to uncover opportunities that boost business performance, streamline operations, and strengthen our workforce. You'll ensure data integrity, create compelling visualizations and models, and lead automation and continuous improvement initiatives that fuel innovation and smarter, evidence-based decisions.

What you'll do

  • Analyze complex data from multiple systems to uncover insights, trends, and opportunities that support business transformation and operational improvement.
  • Develop descriptive and predictive analytics models to inform strategic decision-making and forecast business outcomes.
  • Design and maintain automated dashboards and visual reports (e.g., Power BI to provide real-time visibility into key performance indicators.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to understand business challenges and translate them into actionable analytics solutions.
  • Present clear, data-driven insights and recommendations to leaders and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Support the evaluation and implementation of new analytics tools, methods, and technologies that enhance data accessibility and decision quality in collaboration with the Alectra Data Office.
  • Collaborate with the Alectra Data Office to align with enterprise data governance standards and quality practices.
  • Act as the Data Steward for the People and Transformation team in alignment to Alectra's Data Governance framework. With a focus on data management and data quality.
  • Apply statistical and data modeling techniques (e.g., regression, forecasting, clustering) to identify key performance drivers and predict outcomes.
  • Contribute to building a data-driven culture by promoting analytics literacy and supporting self-service reporting capabilities in alignment with Alectra's Enterprise Data Literacy program.
  • Continuously identify opportunities for process improvement and innovation through analytics and automation.

Who you are

Education & Specialized Knowledge

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related discipline.

Experience

  • Minimum of 3–5 years of progressive experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or a similar role.
  • Experience developing dashboards, reports, and data models to support strategic and operational decision-making.
  • Exposure to predictive modeling, statistical analysis, and advanced analytics techniques.
  • Experience working with large datasets and integrating data from multiple enterprise systems (e.g., HRIS, ERP, CIS, Finance).
  • Experience in the utilities or energy sector, or in a transformation environment, is an asset.

Skills/Abilities/Competencies

  • Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools (Power BI, Excel, Python, R, SQL).
  • Understanding of data management and governance practices, including data cleansing, transformation, and modeling.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms and enterprise reporting environments.
  • Solid grasp of statistical analysis, forecasting, regression, predictive modelling, and data mining techniques.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and their practical business applications is an asset.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities, with the capacity to translate technical findings into business insights.
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and data quality.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to partner effectively across multiple departments.
  • Curious, proactive, and committed to continuous learning and innovation.
