Role Description
Summary

Reporting to their supervisor, the incumbent effectively manages the projects assigned to them. Through their role within the organization, they become a de facto member of the Project Management Office (PMO) and actively contribute to its development and ongoing maintenance in order to support the achievement of operational excellence objectives.

Key Responsibilities

As a Project Manager, responsibilities include:

  • Identifying the strategic directions of projects involving various internal and external stakeholders and ensuring the technical feasibility of deliverables;
  • Ensuring integrated management of projects under their responsibility and ensuring compliance with required quality standards, allocated budgets, and agreed timelines for each project phase;
  • Ensuring that project activities comply with organizational guidelines and legal frameworks;
  • Defining standards, controlling work quality, and evaluating achieved results;
  • Assigning, distributing, and monitoring work performed by the project team without having formal hierarchical authority;
  • Managing and developing a project charter, integrated project plan, resource plan, risk and contingency management plan, as well as other project management artifacts;
  • Ensuring and facilitating activities related to all operational and financial stage gates throughout the project lifecycle;
  • Identifying and resolving all high-priority project risks;
  • Participating in the management of human, material, and technical resources related to the project and managing vendors while ensuring compliance with contractual agreements;
  • Participating in project reporting and accountability activities;
  • Planning and organizing projects according to the availability of human, material, financial, and informational resources;
  • Maintaining effective communication among all stakeholders regarding project progress, issues encountered, and associated risks;
  • Updating project information and ensuring that projects meet client requirements;
  • Communicating periodically with project team members, approving worked hours, and determining remaining tasks required to complete the work;
  • Ensuring compliance with project scope, quality, costs, and schedule;
  • Coordinating various project management processes (change request management, issue resolution, risk monitoring, deliverable quality management, and approval of project management and content deliverables);
  • Ensuring that project documentation management complies with organizational rules and standards;
  • Preparing project progress reports;
  • Collaborating in the production of project performance indicators and dashboards;
  • Organizing knowledge transfer to relevant teams at the end of the project lifecycle;
  • Preparing project summaries and closing projects;
  • Delegating tasks and setting objectives in terms of timelines and quality;
  • Creating, prioritizing, assigning, and tracking daily tasks and team progress based on deliverables.
As a PMO Member, responsibilities include, among others:
  • Participating in the establishment of the organizational project management approach;
  • Contributing to the development of project management methodologies and processes;
  • Working closely with other departments and organizational functions;
  • Participating in continuous improvement initiatives.
Position Requirements
Required Qualifications
  • University degree in Information Technology or another relevant field;
  • PMP certification or in the process of obtaining it;
  • Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in the information technology field or medical health IT;
  • Excellent command of French and English, both spoken and written;
  • Proficiency with the MS Office suite.

  • Strong judgment, autonomy, flexibility, and openness;
  • Strong ability to manage priorities, take initiative, and deliver results;
  • Ability to travel (up to 50% of the time).
