Why This Role is Important
This is a phenomenal opportunity for junior/intermediate engineering co-op to join our expanding data engineering team. You will contribute in developing systems that implement data products that meet extreme requirements on scalability, reliability, maintainability and quality. The ideal candidate will be someone who genuinely enjoys writing code that can analyze and handle large data using cloud computing. You will be working in a fast paced organization using Agile/Scrum methodology to deliver excellent solutions for our demanding customer service and operations requirements.

What You'll Do

• Develop and apply your expertise in data and software engineering to design and implement data products that meet extreme requirements on scalability, reliability, maintainability, flexibility, auditability, and quality
• Your primary area will be data engineering, but you are comfortable working in a secondary area of expertise such as building agentic AI platform and agents, data quality validation, data linage, backend engineering, machine learning, or data modeling (OLTP and OLAP)
• Gaining technical expertise in building a data platform at scale to solve business, product, and technical use cases
• Getting hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform and technologies such as BigQuery, Cloud Composer (Airflow), Cloud function, Dataproc (Spark), GCS, Tableau, Terraform/Terragrunt, and other cloud-native offering

What You Bring

• Have good coding skills (Data Structures and Algorithms)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Exposure to data science, agentic AI, or machine-learning packages (Pandas, Pytorch, Keras, TensorFlow, etc...)
• Contributions to open-source software (code, docs, or mailing list posts)
