The Faculty of Health Sciences is a large, diverse, and comprehensive unit, comprised of seven Schools (Nursing, Kinesiology, Health Studies, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Communication Sciences and Disorders and Food and Nutritional Sciences), a large Interdisciplinary Graduate Program in Health and Rehabilitation Sciences and four Research Centers. The Faculty has more than 4,000 undergraduate students and more than 900 graduate students (200 PhD students).

Mission: The Arthur Labatt Family School of Nursing generates knowledge and prepares nurses to be transformative leaders and innovators through equity-promoting research, education and practice, locally and globally.

This course focuses on the application of theory and research from contemporary organization and management sciences to the understanding or organizational and care delivery structures and the management of financial and information resources. Emphasis on organizational assessment techniques and design of clinical programs across the continuum of care, work design approaches and operational support systems.

You will be responsible for all activities associated with the successful delivery of the course, including but not limited to: developing, preparing, and delivering the course; setting and marking examinations, assessing the academic work of students, and reporting grades.

Candidates must be willing to undertake training as required by the Employer including, but not limited to, training in respect of health and safety, harassment and discrimination, and legislated service standards.

Candidates applying to teach professional practice courses must hold a minimum of a Graduate degree in Nursing (PHD Preferred), have an active and unrestricted CNO licensure to practice, and relevant professional practice experience and qualifications appropriate to the course for which application is being made. A demonstrated record of performance in university-level teaching is preferred. Candidates must fulfill all pre-placement requirements where needed.

Course offerings could be assigned to the workload of full-time faculty or to part-time faculty with seniority or preference rights in accordance with the Faculty Collective Agreement, or left unfilled based on operational/enrolment requirements. All positions are subject to budget approval.
