Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Farm Hand to join our agricultural team. This role involves supporting daily farm operations, maintaining equipment, and ensuring the overall health and productivity of the farm. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, mechanical aptitude, and a passion for farming and outdoor work. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in horticulture, farm machinery, and sustainable farming practices.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with seeding, spraying and harvesting crops using appropriate tools and techniques
  • Operate and maintain farm machinery, power tools
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment and infrastructure to ensure optimal operation
  • Use hand tools for various tasks including building structures, or repairing equipment
  • Support heavy lifting activities such as moving supplies or harvested crops
  • Monitor crop health and identify pest or disease issues for timely intervention
  • Maintain cleanliness of work areas and ensure compliance with safety standards

Qualifications

  • Class 1 driver license and air brake endorsement
  • Basic knowledge of horticulture, and farm maintenance preferred
  • Mechanical knowledge or experience operating farm machinery is a plus
  • Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and effectively
  • Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and basic math skills for measurements and calculations
  • Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and work outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Prior experience on a farm or in agricultural settings is advantageous but not required
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn new skills

Job Type: Seasonal

Contract length: 7-8 months

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 100 per week
