Responsibilities:

  • Deliver ABA programming under supervision as needed and applicable
  • Delivery of peers-paired sessions (mainly assisting and prompting)
  • Delivery of group sessions (mainly assisting and prompting)
  • Delivery of ABA sessions for high-needs learners (gradual start with Senior Therapist support)
  • Flexible in assisting in cover sessions for all clients
  • Basic knowledge and application of VB, PEAK, Direct Instruction, Precision Teaching, ESDM programming

Requirements:

  • A College Diploma or University Degree related to Behavioural Science, Psychology, or Early Childhood Development or equivalent approved by Aspiration & Discoveries
  • Minimum 1-year experience working with young children who have been diagnosed with Autism; Autism Spectrum Disorder; Pervasive Developmental Disorder or equivalent approved by Aspiration & Discoveries
  • Demonstrated experience applying the principles of Applied Behaviour Analysis or equivalent approved by Aspiration & Discoveries
  • A satisfactory Criminal Reference Check and Vulnerable Sector Check issued in the past 2 months.
  • Valid First Aid and CPR certificate.
  • Compassionate, respectful and sincere manner with ability to deal with conflict in a diplomatic and professional manner.
  • Ability to lift 25 kg may be required and perform lifting/bending when required to assist clients.

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday (between 8am – 6pm)
  • Weekend availability (Saturday morning only)
