Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic professional to join our team as the Head of Delivery in our gaming company. As the Head of Delivery, you will oversee a team of Product Managers, Project Managers, Developers, and QA professionals (team of 40+ and growing). Your primary focus will be ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality gaming products and projects while implementing effective Scrum processes. This role requires a strong background in project management, gaming industry experience, and the ability to lead and inspire a diverse team of professionals.

Main Responsibilities: 

* Provide leadership, strategic and tactical direction to the Delivery team, consisting of Product Managers, Project Managers, Developers, and QA professionals.

* Oversee the end-to-end delivery process, from project initiation to final release, ensuring successful product launches and project execution.

* Implement and promote Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum, and champion best practices for efficient and effective project delivery.

* Collaborate closely with stakeholders, including game designers, artists, engineers, and business leaders, to define project requirements, scope, and timelines.

* Manage and prioritize the team's workload, ensuring project deadlines are met and resources are optimally allocated.

* Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the Delivery team.

* Mentor and develop team members, providing guidance and support to enhance their skills and professional growth.

* Monitor project risks and issues, proactively identifying and implementing mitigation strategies as necessary.

* Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including vendors, partners, and clients.

* Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices related to gaming product development and project management. 

* Report directly to the sVP or CEO, providing updates on project status, delivery timelines, and resource allocation within the Delivery team.

Requirements:

* Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar leadership role, overseeing Product Managers, Project Managers, Developers, and QA professionals.

* Minimum of 3 years of experience in the gaming industry, with a deep understanding of game development processes and project lifecycles.

* Proven experience in implementing and driving Scrum processes and methodologies.

* Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.

* Excellent project management skills, with a track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget.

* Solid understanding of Agile methodologies, including Scrum, and the ability to tailor them to fit the needs of the organization.

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.

* Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a proactive and pragmatic approach.

* Experience with project management tools and software.

* Passion for gaming and a deep understanding of the gaming industry landscape.

* Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., project management, computer science, or a related discipline). Advanced degrees or certifications are a plus.
