EXPERIENCE: At least one year working in mental health programming, human services or recreational programming is an asset.

Part-time, 15 hours / week. Monday - Friday

$15.65/hr

JOB DESCRIPTION: The REACH program is a program offered by Capital Region Mental Health & Addictions Association that provides recreational programming for people who identify their mental health as their primary barrier to socialization and recreation.

The successful candidate will help plan, implement and lead programming for people living with a diagnosed mental health concern and/or addiction.

Applicants should be highly organized, flexible and creative. They should have an open mind and be a cooperative "team player," and able to take initiative and work independently as needed. They should handle problems with ease and be adaptable. They should be comfortable facilitating, teaching and leading a group of adults through a variety of activities (IE. art, crafting, woodworking, nutrition, computers etc.).

Assets include:

* Someone who has lived experience with mental illness/addictions.

* A good working knowledge of community resources.

* Be able to obtain a clear Criminal Record Check, with a vulnerable sector check

* Have a valid driver's license.

* Have a reliable vehicle and be willing to transport members as required (mileage paid) & have or be willing to purchase $2 million liability vehicle insurance.
