Job Description

DeltaTech is a local security company, specializing in Alarm, Video Surveillance and Access Control Systems. We are looking for an experienced Security technician to join our team.

The successful candidate will be knowledgeable, motivated and quick learning individual with experience in CCTV, alarm and access control systems. Training will be provided but experience is a definite asset. Wage is dependent on experience.

Company provided vehicle and cell phone.

Job Type:Full-time

Responsibilities:

  • Install, program, test, repair, and service a variety of security systems and equipment.
  • Perform Security and network IP installations including cabling, mounting of devices/hardware
  • Terminate cables
  • Service calls
  • Diagnose and repair installation issues
  • Ensure complete functionality of all systems and training of clients
  • Maintain a positive and professional relationship with all clients
  • Maintain a consistent commitment to following best practices in all safety procedures
  • Provide technical support and training for the customer and as such is accountable for maximizing customer satisfaction.
  • Organization - Able to keep tools, equipment, materials, the vehicle and the workplace organized. Works in a systematic and efficient manner.
  • Responsible and proper use of company vehicles - Daily driving to and from work locations with a focus on courtesy and safety

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of previous related work experience in the following areas: Intrusion Alarm, Access Control and CCTV Systems
  • Comfortable with working at heights using extension ladders and aerial lifts
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to unexpected circumstances
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, manuals, wiring diagrams and other specifications to determine installation procedures
  • Valid Alberta Driver's License with clean record
  • Clean criminal record
