Position Overview

We are seeking caring, dependable Caregivers to provide non-medical home support to our clients. As a Caregiver, you will assist with daily activities, provide companionship, and help maintain a safe, comfortable home environment. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about helping others and making a meaningful difference in people's lives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
  • Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, grooming, and dressing
  • Provide mobility assistance and support with transfers
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks
  • Perform light housekeeping duties (tidying, laundry, dishes)
  • Assist with medication reminders (not administration)
  • Accompany clients to appointments and social activities
  • Engage clients in recreational activities and hobbies
  • Monitor client wellbeing and report changes to supervisor
  • Run errands such as grocery shopping and picking up prescriptions
  • Maintain a safe and clean home environment
  • Document daily care activities and client observations
  • Respect client dignity, privacy, and independence

Required Qualifications

MANDATORY:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in caregiving, home support, or related field
  • Strong command of English (verbal and written)
  • Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC) completed within the last 6 months
  • Compassionate, patient, and reliable personality
  • Physical ability to assist with client transfers and mobility
  • Excellent references from previous employers or clients

PREFERRED:

  • PSW (Personal Support Worker) certificate
  • DSW (Developmental Service Worker) or HCA (Home Care Aide) certificate
  • First Aid and CPR Level C certification
  • Experience working with seniors, individuals with disabilities, or chronic conditions
  • Experience with dementia care or palliative care
  • Valid Ontario driver's license and reliable vehicle
  • Additional language skills (French, Spanish, Mandarin, Tagalog, etc.)

Work Schedule

  • Flexible scheduling: Days, evenings, and weekends available
  • Part-time and full-time positions
  • Live-in opportunities may be available for qualified candidates
  • Consistent client assignments when possible
