Hays has teamed up with a reputable and growing developer in Edmonton who are seeking an experienced
Director of Projects (Owners Rep)
to lead a dynamic team responsible for delivering construction projects on time, on budget, and to the highest standards. This leadership role is ideal for professionals with a strong background in
project management within general contracting or owner's representative environments
, who thrive on building relationships and driving operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the successful execution of multiple construction projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Act as the primary liaison between leadership teams and project stakeholders, providing clear communication and regular updates on milestones and deliverables.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance client experience and project outcomes.
  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing team, fostering professional growth and accountability.
  • Collaborate with finance teams to manage project budgets and ensure financial objectives are met.
  • Resolve client escalations and proactively manage risks to maintain strong relationships.
  • Continuously assess and improve processes for efficiency and effectiveness.

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience
    in project management or operations within construction (general contractor or owner's rep experience strongly preferred).
  • 2+ years of leadership experience
    , including team management and mentorship.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, risk management, and financial oversight.
  • Exceptional communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with project management software
