Overview

We are seeking a professional and organized Dental Receptionist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks efficiently. This role is vital in ensuring smooth daily operations within the dental office and delivering a positive patient experience. Prior experience with dental software such as Dentrix and Epic, along with strong office and administrative skills, is highly desirable. The position offers an engaging work environment where attention to detail and excellent communication are valued.

Duties

  • Greet patients warmly and professionally upon arrival, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere at the front desk
  • Manage multi-line phone systems to schedule appointments, answer inquiries, and relay messages accurately
  • Verify patient information and update electronic medical records using Dentrix and Epic software platforms
  • Assist patients with insurance questions, billing, and payment processing
  • Prepare and organize patient charts and documentation for upcoming appointments
  • Coordinate appointment scheduling to optimize provider availability and patient flow
  • Maintain a clean and organized front desk area, ensuring all office supplies are stocked
  • Support administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and correspondence as needed
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare privacy regulations and confidentiality standards

Experience

  • Previous experience as a Dental Receptionist or in a medical/dental office setting is preferred
  • Proficiency with dental practice management software such as Dentrix and Epic is highly desirable
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry and healthcare documentation
  • Experience working with electronic medical records (EMRs) in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively at the front desk
  • Familiarity with multi-line phone systems and office equipment
  • Prior administrative experience in a healthcare setting is advantageous
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact professionally with patients and staff

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00-$23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
