Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cashier/Stocker to join our team in a dynamic retail environment. Responsibilities

• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system to process customer transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Provide exceptional customer service by assisting shoppers with inquiries and product selections.
• Handle cash transactions and ensure accurate cash handling practices.
• Stock shelves and maintain merchandise displays to enhance the shopping experience.
• Conduct product demonstrations to promote new items and encourage sales.
• Assist in supervising team members, ensuring adherence to store policies and procedures.
• Engage in upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the checkout area and stockroom.
• Utilize basic math skills for inventory management and retail math calculations.

Skills

• Proven experience in cashiering and customer service within a grocery store or retail setting.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on phone etiquette.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately.
• Experience in merchandising, stocking, and retail sales is highly desirable.
• Bilingual abilities are a plus, enhancing communication with diverse customers.
• Supervising experience is beneficial for team leadership roles.

Pay: From $16.10 per hour
