3-5 PROGRAM SUPERVISOR
The Mount Pleasant Community Centre Association (MPCCA) operates two licensed child care centres, providing care for children 0-12 years old. Our mission is to provide high quality and affordable child care for infants, toddlers, preschoolers and school age children. We offer nurturing environments and learning experiences for children to ready them for life-long learning and to provide opportunities for children to develop physically, socially, emotionally and cognitively according to their individual development and learning styles.
Our Philosophy
We honour and value play. We believe that through play, children learn about relationships between people, living beings, materials, and physical places. We believe that play is essential for children to develop critical thinking skills and creativity. In our centres children are given the opportunity to engage in developmentally appropriate learning activities and spend time exploring their world through play in both indoor and outdoor environments through an emergent based curriculum.
We are seeking an energetic, creative and positive individual to workas our 3-5 Program Supervisor at 3 Corners Child Care Centre. The successful applicants will be responsible for overseeing the care and education of 3 - 5 year old children and the staff team.

Qualifications:
- A valid Early Childhood Educator Certificate issued by the BC ECE Registry
- A valid First Aid Certificate with Level B
- A Criminal Record Check clearance letter
- Minimum 2 Years Supervisory Experience
- Minimum 3 Years in a Licensed Early Childhood Education Program
- Immunization Schedule or waiver
- Ability to provide a minimum of 2 current/satisfactory references
- Strong knowledge of BC's Early Learning Framework, children's development & effective guiding and caring skills
- Staff guidance and management experience
- Strong leadership skills & work ethic
- Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with parents, teachers, and students with various needs.
- Ability to operate various types of special equipment or willing to train.
- Effective communication skills
- Experience & training in neurodivergent

Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Ensuring that Licensing Regulation and MPCCA Child Care policies & procedures are implemented and maintained
- Ensuring that the child care environment is healthy and safe for children
- Supervising, coaching and empowering the staff team
- Establishing and guiding staff to carry out a daily schedule that incorporates child centered activities, care routines and transitions
- Lead and model pedagogical narration as a tool for reflection, curriculum planning, and communicating learning to families.
- Collaborate with staff to develop and implement responsive, play-based curriculum. experiences of documentation
- Build and maintain positive and professional relationships with children, families and staff
- Administration tasks including but not limited to staff schedules, newsletters, payroll, facilitating staff meeting
- Working in ratio with the children and staff
Information:
Job Types: Full-time, Temporary (Maternity Leave Cover)
Salary: $35.10-$38.21 per hour depending on experience and qualifications (Wage Enhancement already included)
Starting Date: March 2026
Days & Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, hours per day. Shift between 7am to 6:00pm. Extra time may be required for meeting, child/staff ratios and family events.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $35.10-$38.21 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 35 per week
