Manager, Business Intelligence - IB Insurance
Purpose
The Manager, Business Intelligence – IB Insurance plays a critical role in enabling data-driven decision-making across the IB Insurance portfolio. This role is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining business intelligence solutions that support performance management, strategic initiatives, and financial execution. The incumbent will work closely with internal stakeholders, including regional insurance partners, to ensure the delivery of accurate, timely, and actionable insights that align with the Bank's strategic goals.
What You'll Do:
- Lead the design and implementation of scalable BI solutions, including dashboards, KPIs, and data models tailored to IB Insurance.
- Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
- Actively participates in the Global Insurance business planning process by preparing targets for countries and following up on target execution
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications and wireframes.
- Develop and maintain a robust BI framework, ensuring consistency in design, data standards, and governance.
- Ensure data integrity and accuracy across all IB Insurance reporting platforms.
- Collaborate with data owners and technology teams to define and maintain a high-quality data foundation.
- Conduct data profiling, modeling, and integration to support performance analysis and strategic initiatives.
- Automate and enhance periodic performance reports and executive dashboards.
- Monitor and analyze sales, business performance and financial indicators using tools such as Power BI, SQL, and SharePoint, among others.
- Requirement to combine data from different data sources (data marts, excel, among others) to integrate a combined Global insurance level reporting in excel and Power BI format. SQL/python required
- Provide insights and recommendations to support business growth and the achievement of financial goals.
- Act as a key liaison between the IB Insurance team and regional/country-level insurance partners.
- Support strategic projects by contributing BI expertise and ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Foster strong relationships with internal stakeholders including, but not limited to: IB Retail, Analytics, and Global Insurance
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and risk management frameworks.
What You'll Bring:
- Bilingual English – Spanish is highly desirable
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Bachelor's degree in data science, Analytics, Computer Science, Business, Finance, or a related field.
- Strong financial acumen
- 3+ years of experience in Business Intelligence/Data Warehousing
- Knowledge of SQL, Python, Excel (advanced level) and Power BI (advanced level)
- Expert knowledge of dimensional data modeling and BI semantic layer implementation
- Working knowledge of data virtualization/logical data warehouse
- Knowledge of best practice in data visualization and UX an asset
- Strong verbal, written, presentation & communication skills
- Proactive, organized, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong prioritizing, planning, analytical, presentation, project management, and relationship building skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Work Arrangement:
- Work in a standard office-based environment; non-standard hours are a common occurrence. The environment is fast-paced, dynamic and is constantly evolving.
