JOB DESCRIPTION

The co-op/intern will join Chief Operating Officer (COO)'s Strategy & Enablement (S&E) line of business and will support the following business groups and projects / initiatives:

Indigenous People & ESG Strategy

  • Support both Indigenous People and ESG strategic initiatives

  • Lead or support the execution of a small to medium size ESG and Indigenous People segment strategic project

  • Prepare ad hoc analyses and business cases in support of initiatives and in-depth research projects

  • Build an understanding of the personal banking needs of customers from Indigenous communities , Social and Environmental goals and how to best meet the needs

  • Conduct analysis and provide recommendations to implement body of work

  • A ssist with business planning

  • Define opportunities to enhance business processes and develop the confidence to tackle challenging tasks

Main Responsibilities

  • Review and understand the CPB Indigenous People and ESG strategic priorities to contribute developing and influencing opportunities across CPB

  • Support the development and execution of internal communications, colleague experience programs, and ESG initiatives and tactics

  • Partner and collaborate with multiple stakeholders and teams across CPB to drive program ideation and execution

  • Conduct analysis to drive and communicate actionable insights and recommendations in a simple, clear, and compelling manner for various audiences

  • Develop and deliver presentations/communications to management and partners

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Currently enrolled in 2 nd – 4 th year of an undergraduate degree OR m aster's degree in Engineering , Operations, Innovation & Technology, Business / Commerce, Risk, Finance, Mathematics , Economics, ESG or related field

  • Must be enrolled in an undergraduate / master's degree with the intent of going back to school at the start of your work term

  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to work with complex processes / tasks / projects
  • Analysis of large amount of data using a dvanced Excel skills to support conclusions
  • Superior communication and presentation skills (PowerPoint)
  • Ability to learn and apply business knowledge to execute different projects
  • Collaborate and negotiate solutions with a variety of stakeholders
  • Self-driven and d etailed oriented
  • Adapt and thrive in a dynamic environment
