The Role

Our work involves supporting families and transferring deceased individuals to funeral homes with dignity and respect. As a member of the Transfers team, your responsibilities include collecting the deceased from their place of death and ensuring safe transportation to the appropriate location. This position is suitable for a physically fit, semi-retired individual.

Key Responsibilities

· Collect the deceased from their location and transport them to the designated destination.

· Represent the company by maintaining professional conduct and providing a high standard of customer service.

· Transfer the deceased from mortuaries, place of death, or containment to funeral home care, following company procedures and industry standards to ensure respect and dignity for the deceased.

· Use the Connect Team app to complete all required company forms.

· Verify the identity of the deceased prior to any removal.

· Register the deceased upon arrival at the funeral home.

· Dress professionally to represent the company.

· Keep the assigned company vehicle clean and in good condition, report any faults, and confirm the vehicle is roadworthy before each journey.

· Drive lawfully and courteously to uphold the company's reputation.

· Follow all company policies and procedures.

· Comply with specific driver guidelines, including those related to manual handling, cell phone usage, substance use, vehicle care, speed limits, and driving behaviour.

· Follow data protection and privacy regulations as outlined by the company.

· Participate in all required company training and development sessions.

Committed to quality and excellent customer care, with strong organisational, written, and verbal skills. Positive, helpful, eager to learn, flexible, and friendly. Must hold a clean driving licence and always drive responsibly.
