Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer

L R HELICOPTERS INC. is a federally regulated helicopter company based in Calgary, Alberta, specializing in aerial work, flight training, and charter operations. We are committed to safety, operational excellence, and providing superior service to our clients. We are currently looking for a Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) to join our team and help maintain our fleet to the highest industry standards.
Responsibilities:
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, repairs, and inspections on AS350B3 (Arriel 2 series engines), Bell 212, EC120B, and R44.
- Conduct fieldwork as needed, performing inspections and maintenance on AS350's, Bell 212, and EC120's.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and rectify mechanical and electrical issues.
- Ensure compliance with Transport Canada regulations and company policies.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and parts usage.
- Work collaboratively with pilots, operations staff, and the maintenance team to ensure aircraft availability and serviceability.
- Participate in safety and quality assurance initiatives.
- Provide mentorship and training to apprentice AMEs and other AMEs.
- The Individual will report to the DOM/PRM.
Qualifications:
- Must hold a valid Transport Canada AME Licence (M1 and/or M2).
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a licensed AME.
- Endorsements required: AS350B3 (Arriel 2 series engines), Bell 212 course and PT6T-3 series engine (an asset), Experience with Bell 212, EC120, R44 helicopters (an asset).
- Strong understanding of Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARs).
- Ability to read and interpret maintenance manuals and technical drawings.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada and reside in the Calgary area.
