Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and personable Hair Stylist to join our vibrant salon team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hair styling and providing exceptional customer service. This role offers an opportunity to showcase creativity, build client relationships, and contribute to a welcoming salon environment. The Hair Stylist will be responsible for delivering high-quality hair services while ensuring client satisfaction and maintaining salon standards of sanitation and professionalism.

Duties

  • Consult with clients to understand their hair styling preferences and recommend suitable treatments or styles
  • Perform various hair services including cutting, coloring, styling, and treatments
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of tools, equipment, and workstations in accordance with health regulations
  • Upsell retail products to clients to enhance their salon experience and meet sales goals
  • Manage front desk responsibilities such as scheduling appointments, checking in clients, and processing payments
  • Provide excellent customer service by creating a friendly and relaxing atmosphere for clients
  • Stay updated on the latest hair trends, techniques, and products through ongoing education and training
  • Build lasting relationships with clients to encourage repeat business and referrals

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Hair Stylist or similar role in a salon setting
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clients
  • Knowledge of current hair styling techniques, coloring methods, and sanitation standards
  • Ability to upsell retail products in a professional manner
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members and assist at the front desk when needed
  • Retail sales experience is a plus
  • Front desk experience is desirable but not required; training will be provided if necessary
  • A valid cosmetology license or certification as required by state regulations
