In addition to providing wage-based service staff positions for students wanting employment, the AMS seeks to support the Society's broader objectives through the provisioning of a high quality, relevant range of student funded services, that provide a wide range of employment opportunities and meaningful out-of-classroom learning and skill acquisition experiences for students.Job Summary Common Ground Coffee House is a student run coffee shop that offers a variety of hot and cold drinks, bagels and cream cheese, delicious sandwiches and fresh baked goods. Common Ground prides itself on a variety of local products, offered at a competitive price for a student budget. Located in the Queen's Center, Common Ground is at the heart of the Queen's student experience, and it offers a welcoming environment for all members of the Queen's and Kingston communities. The Common Ground Coffeehouse Head Manager, under the direction of the Vice President (Operations), will primarily be responsible to ensure all appropriate workplace regulations, compliances, and legislation regarding health and safety, food preparation standards, and company policies and procedures are adhered to at all times. This position will ensure that safe work practices are being followed. This role will also ensure the highest standards of personal hygiene and dress amongst all employees is enforced.
