This position is for a senior-level cybersecurity professional responsible for providing strategic security planning, architecture design, and technical leadership across complex enterprise IT environments.

Must Haves:

  • Demonstrated experience in
    cybersecurity strategic planning and risk management
    .
  • Demonstrated experience with
    solutions architecture, cybersecurity architecture, and/or IT design
    .
  • Ability to work
    100% onsite
    in Regina, Saskatchewan upon contract start
  • Required Experience
  • Experience providing
    cybersecurity strategic advice
    , including risk management, governance, feasibility studies, cost-benefit analyses, and technology assessments.
  • Experience serving as a
    lead architect
    or technical authority for major systems or subsystems, from design through successful implementation.
  • Experience designing and implementing
    cybersecurity architecture
    across complex, distributed environments.
  • Strong experience collaborating with
    technical, business, and executive stakeholders
    to gain buy-in for security initiatives.
  • Experience
    briefing senior executives
    and developing cybersecurity vision papers, strategic roadmaps, or maturity models.
  • In-depth knowledge of
    industry-standard information security frameworks
    such as ISO/IEC 27002:2022, NIST, or equivalent.
  • Experience with
    DevSecOps practices
    , including security automation supporting enterprise product and service delivery.
  • Experience planning and implementing
    zero-trust cybersecurity architectures
    .
  • Formal training in a
    recognized IT design methodology
    with hands-on implementation experience.
  • Demonstrated expertise across
    multiple architecture engagements
    , applying current knowledge of key technology trends (e.g., integrations, data management, technical governance)
  • Experience working with
    government or large public-sector organizations
    , or comparable enterprise environments.
  • Architecture-related certifications such as
    TOGAF, SABSA, or equivalent
    .
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent professional experience.
  • Completion of at least one
    formal project management course
    .
