We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join our team in Mississauga, Canada. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data integration and transformation, with hands-on experience in cloud technologies, data governance, and DevOps practices. This role requires proficiency in Java or Python, API development, and SQL, along with a solid understanding of AWS services and CI/CD tools.

• Design and develop data integration and transformation jobs using Java or Python.
• Build and maintain APIs for data access and processing.
• Work with SQL to manage and query large datasets efficiently.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement data governance capabilities and integrations.
• Utilize AWS services including IAM, EKS, and Kubernetes for cloud-based data solutions.
• Deploy applications in a DevOps environment using CI/CD tools such as GitHub, Jenkins, Artifactory, uDeploy, and DataDog.
• Communicate effectively across teams and contribute to technical discussions and decision-making.
• Perform complex tasks independently and proactively engage with internal and external stakeholders.

  • GitHub, Jenkins, Artifactory, uDeploy

• Data Governance & Integration:

  • Experience implementing governance frameworks and integration strategies

• Bonus Skills (Preferred but not mandatory):

  • Apache NiFi
  • SnapLogic

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Ability to work independently and lead initiatives across team boundaries.
