Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining excellent customer service. This role requires a strong focus on safety, efficient route management, and proper handling of freight and heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate delivery vehicles, including commercial trucks, to transport freight and goods to designated locations.
  • Load and unload cargo using forklifts or other heavy equipment when necessary.
  • Ensure all deliveries are completed accurately and on schedule, adhering to delivery routes and schedules.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
  • Maintain proper documentation for deliveries, including receipts, delivery logs, and invoices.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status or any issues encountered during routes.
  • Perform minor automotive repairs or troubleshooting if required to ensure vehicle operability.
  • Follow all safety protocols related to heavy equipment operation and freight handling.

Requirements

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; commercial driving license (CDL) preferred but not mandatory.
  • Experience operating forklifts, heavy equipment, or commercial vehicles is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety regulations related to transportation and heavy equipment operation.
  • Ability to operate basic automotive repair tools for minor vehicle troubleshooting.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time efficiently for timely deliveries.
  • Physical ability to lift heavy freight and operate heavy machinery as needed.
  • Prior experience in logistics, freight transportation, or related fields is a plus.
  • Must pass background checks and adhere to safety standards at all times.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Fixed term contract

Contract length: 6 months

Pay: Up to $200.00 per day
