Job description
Our client is a leading global full-service firm, and they are looking to hire a Paralegal with at least 5 years of experience in the field of banking and finance to join their team in Vancouver. The ideal candidate will be a confident, proactive, highly detailed oriented team player who possesses excellent organizational skills. Working on a team with other paralegals and lawyers it is expected that the candidate will be able to handle files from start to finish.
Your new role
In this new role you will be responsible for assisting in all aspects of banking and financing transactions including assisting with corporate and lien searches, reviewing results and assisting with addressing any needed estoppels or discharges and drafting schedules with results. In your new role you will also be responsible for utilizing precedents or agreed forms to draft joinder documentation, including guarantees and security documents, officer's certificates, resolutions, and other banking documentation. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting lawyers with banking transaction matters and communicating with opposing counsel.
What you will need to succeed
To be considered for this position, you must have At least 5 years of banking and finance experience and must have a paralegal diploma or certificate. You will bring with you a strong work ethic, exceptional problem-solving skills, and would-be comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic workplace. To succeed you should also have excellent communication skills, including the ability to relate to people at all levels.
