As part of our continued growth, we are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse Receiver to support efficient warehouse and inventory operations.
Position Summary
The Warehouse Receiver is responsible for the accurate and timely receiving of all inbound materials, ensuring goods are verified, inspected, documented, and stored in accordance with company procedures. This role plays a critical part in maintaining inventory accuracy, product quality, and smooth warehouse operations.
Key Responsibilities
Accept incoming deliveries and unload materials from trucks safely and efficiently.
Move received goods to designated receiving and staging areas.
Verify shipments against packing slips, invoices, and purchase orders.
Inspect goods for damage, shortages, or discrepancies and report issues promptly.
Accurately record received items in inventory systems and logs.
Maintain complete and organized receiving documentation.
Store materials in assigned warehouse locations following FIFO and rotation standards.
Ensure materials are labeled, accessible, and properly organized.
Identify damaged, incorrect, or substandard materials.
Escalate quality issues to supervisors and support corrective actions.
Assist with cycle counts, physical inventory counts, and reconciliation activities.
Support inventory accuracy and loss prevention initiatives.
Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment.
Perform basic equipment checks and report maintenance needs.
Coordinate with Procurement, Production, Quality, and Warehouse teams to support operational flow.
Communicate effectively with drivers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
Follow all workplace health and safety policies and procedures.
Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment.
Comply with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Education & Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Forklift certification Mandatory.
1 – 3 years of experience in a warehouse, receiving, or logistics role preferred.
Experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment is an asset.
Key Skills:
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to read and interpret shipping documents and purchase orders.
Basic computer and inventory system proficiency.
Physical ability to lift, move, and handle materials safely.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence.
