Foundation Health Job Description

  • Foundation Health is looking for a Registered Pediatric Dietician to join our clinic. As a Registered Pediatric Dietician with our team, you will:

  • Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments for children and adolescents, considering medical history, growth charts, dietary intake, and laboratory data.

  • Develop individualized nutrition care plans that promote healthy growth, development, and disease management.
  • Provide counseling and education to children, parents, and caregivers on healthy eating habits, food allergies, picky eating, weight management, gastrointestinal disorders, diabetes, and other pediatric conditions.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, and other healthcare providers to coordinate care and optimize patient outcomes.
  • Monitor progress and adjust nutrition plans as needed based on clinical follow-up and outcomes.
  • Develop educational materials and resources to support family and community nutrition initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records in accordance with professional, legal, and clinic standards.

  • Stay current with pediatric nutrition research, best practices, and regulatory guidelines.

  • Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field.

  • Registered Dietitian (RD) with the College of Dietitians of Ontario (or eligibility for registration).
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working with pediatric clients preferred.
  • Knowledge of pediatric growth and development, medical nutrition therapy, and food service standards.
  • Excellent communication, teaching, and counseling skills.

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively.

  • Skills in technology and experience with various EMR's and Microsoft Teams
