Job Description

We are seeking a motivated Acquisition Specialist to support high-volume recruitment for our Early Careers program. This role involves hiring students from various universities and colleges across Canada for Co-op and entry-level positions in engineering, mathematics, physics, business development, finance, supply chain management, human resources, and related disciplines. The specialist will manage candidate pipelines, drive recruitment processes, and coordinate university relations and key recruitment events.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the full cycle recruiting process for Co-op and entry-level hires, ensuring a smooth and positive candidate experience across Canadian operations in Ottawa, Montreal, Halifax, and Victoria.
  • Build and maintain solid partnerships with the Early Careers Lead and Engineering hiring managers to align recruitment activities with business priorities.
  • Proactively support and coordinate university relations events and maintain strong partnerships with preferred schools.
  • Source and develop passive candidates through networking, complex internet searches, social media, and research.
  • Ensure consistent application of policies with respect to company guidelines, and recommend updates when policies no longer align with company strategy.
  • Collaborate with the recruitment team and review web and social network solutions for recruitment.
Essential Skills
  • Bachelor degree in Business with a Human Resources designation or equivalent HR experience.
  • 2 to 5 years of related work experience as a recruiter, with at least 2 years in high-volume or agency recruitment.
  • Practical experience with applicant tracking systems, preferably IBM.
  • Highly motivated self-starter with strong organizational skills, customer focus, and result-driven.
  • Superior ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Resourcefulness, dynamism, autonomy, and sense of organization.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Bilingual in English and French, both spoken and written.
  • Experience in Defence, Aeronautic, or High-Tech industries.
  • Strong proactive sourcing expertise.
  • Embracing new AI capabilities.
Work Environment

You will be part of a team of 4 reporting to a lead in Montreal. The role offers a flexible 40-hour work week, with the option to work 8 hours Monday to Friday or 10 hours Monday to Thursday with Fridays off. You will have one day in the office. The initial training period is 3 months, after which you should be comfortable in your role.

The pay range for this position is $ $50.00/hr.
