We are seeking a Tool and Die Maker to join our team In this role you will be providing workmanship by maintaining and improving production tooling, and supporting Ultramet's Press Shop delivery commitments.

Shift: Day Shift 7:00am- 3:00pm

We are located at 5153 Fountain St. N (Breslau, ON)

Reporting to: Tooling Supervisor

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform machining operations to a high degree of tolerance.
  • Operate an overhead crane.
  • Troubleshoot, and make the necessary press adjustments
  • Maintain, improve, repair or modify tools, dies and fixtures
  • Able to read/interpret part drawings
  • Able to interpret CMM reports and make the necessary corrections to tools
  • List recommendations for Tool improvements
  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English and to document stipulated records as instructed
  • Experience in Progressive Dies

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Must be able to read, write legibly, speak and understand English and to document stipulated records as instructed.
  • Recognized completion of Tool and Die Apprenticeship or 5 years related experience in tool and progressive die maintenance in a stamping environment
  • Overhead Crane Certificate
  • Must be physically fit and capable of lifting up to approximately 40 lbs
  • Transfer die experience
  • Previous experience within the automotive manufacturing industry is an asset

Compensation and Benefits

Pay Rate: Competitive Salary based on experience

Benefits: Extended Health and Dental Benefits after 3 months of employment

Pay: $35.00-$38.00 per hour
