We are looking for an application support analyst (peoplesoft) for one of our clients, an investment bank set in Montreal

Role Overview :

In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring production environments, managing incidents and changes, and providing technical support for critical applications, including
PeopleSoft
.

Level 1 & 2 Support

  • Actively monitor production activities
  • Ensure PeopleSoft PROD and pre-prod environments are operational
  • Perform remediation steps when required
  • Collaborate with external IT teams to resolve incidents
  • Review
    Process Scheduler
    for statuses such as 'Cancel', 'Cancelled', 'Error', and 'No Success' in PeopleSoft PROD
  • Escalate Level 3 incidents to development teams
  • Manage alerts from monitoring tools and configure new alerts
  • Log work and effort in the support tracking system and help reduce recurring issues
  • Review and manage emails in the support mailbox; create tickets for reported issues
  • Provide after-hours support when necessary
  • Monitor PeopleSoft Windows servers upon Wintel alerts (disk space thresholds, backup completion)
  • Handle SailPoint account creation and removal requests
  • Track upcoming maintenance and patches (Application, Web, Database, F5)
  • Lead operational meetings to address pending problem/incident tickets

Change and Request Management

  • Own and manage changes to pre-prod and production environments
  • Work with development teams on release prioritization
  • Ensure change requests comply with Group and Department policies
  • Participate in after-hours or weekend change activities when required

Reporting & Special Projects

  • Participate in project planning to ensure the support team is prepared for upcoming changes
  • Assist with application patching to mitigate security risks and vulnerabilities
  • Provide regular reporting to management for prioritization and escalation
  • Maintain strict control over access to sensitive data
  • Conduct and participate in meetings with related teams
  • Analyze control results, report findings, and implement corrective actions
  • Take on project management responsibilities for special initiatives as needed

Required Experience

  • Minimum 5 years in an application support role
  • Banking/Financial sector experience preferred
  • Actimize experience is an asset (not mandatory)
  • Prime experience is an asset (not mandatory)

  • Strong database knowledge:
    Oracle, MS SQL
  • Unix/Linux servers and scripting
  • Windows servers and scripting (
    PowerShell, VBS
    )
  • Scheduling tools:
    $U, Autosys
  • Monitoring tools:
    Sysload, Geneos
  • Web applications:
    Apache Tomcat, IIS
  • Collaboration platforms:
    SharePoint
  • File transfer protocols
  • PeopleSoft tools and scripting (
    PowerShell, SQR, SQC
    )

Additional Skills

  • PeopleSoft application knowledge (menus, panels, security roles/permissions, App Engine, SQR Reports)
