We are currently seeking an experienced Construction Manager to join our team. This position may support projects in various Ontario locations, with potential for relocation or regional leadership responsibilities based on business needs.
Position Summary
The Construction Manager will be responsible for the oversight, coordination, and execution of multiple restoration and reconstruction projects. This leadership role requires strong construction knowledge, team management skills, and the ability to drive timelines, budgets, and quality standards. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader who can balance technical oversight with people and project management.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coordinate, and oversee all phases of construction and restoration projects from planning through to completion.
- Manage and schedule subcontractors, suppliers, and internal crews to meet project deadlines and milestones.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, including adherence to Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act standards.
- Perform regular site visits to monitor progress, quality control, and safety.
- Interpret blueprints, drawings, and project specifications to ensure design and construction requirements are met.
- Review and approve budgets, purchase orders, and timelines in coordination with the Project Manager.
- Address and resolve on-site issues and delays to minimize disruption.
- Maintain open lines of communication with clients, adjust expectations, and provide updates throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure proper documentation of project progress including daily logs, change orders, and inspection reports.
- Mentor and support site supervisors and foremen to ensure consistent standards and performance across projects.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in construction management, preferably in restoration, insurance, or mitigation environments.
- Proven leadership in managing complex residential, commercial, or industrial construction projects.
- Current certifications: WHMIS, First Aid, Fall Protection.
- In-depth knowledge of construction safety protocols, codes, and standards applicable in Ontario.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management tools; experience with Google Drive an asset.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $60,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
