Job Overview:

As a Cashier/Order Taker at our vibrant Indian restaurant, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring smooth order processing and delivering warm, efficient service. Your role is crucial in creating a positive dining experience by accurately handling orders and payments while showcasing our authentic Indian flavors.

Responsibilities:

Order Processing & Customer Service:

  • Greet guests warmly and guide them through our menu, explaining Indian dishes and ingredients.
  • Accurately take dine-in, takeout, and delivery orders (in-person/phone).

Cash Handling & POS Management:

  • Process payments (cash, card, mobile) and issue receipts.
  • Reconcile cash drawer at shift start/end.

Team Support:

  • Communicate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely orders.
  • Resolve minor customer concerns (e.g., missing items, billing queries).

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Basic math skills and the ability to handle cash transactions accurately.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with proficiency in English.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $21.89-$25.96 per hour

Expected hours: 20 per week
