We have student opportunities supporting our Transportation & Logistics Division, and Construction & Equipment Division.
If you are looking for hands-on, real-world experience in a supportive, diverse, and fast-paced environment, JDI IT is the challenge for you. A work term here as a Business Analyst will provide you with an experience that will stretch your abilities, build your curiosity, and grow your resume in a way that is unique in the Maritimes. Focusing on the goal of adding value through information technology, you will learn how to ask the right questions, build professional relationships, and drive solutions. You will be exposed to technical and business processes across various functional groups throughout different lines of businesses.
Responsibilities
- Get experience in translating business problems and opportunities into technical solutions through working in a team environment acting as the liaison between the business and development
- Exposure to various business areas and their respective responsibilities, processes, etc.
- Job shadowing opportunities and establishment of mentor relationships
- Successful application of business analyst tools, such as business process mapping, project charters, requirement gathering, etc.
- Training and experience in multiple industry technologies, including but not limited to: Tableau, Sharepoint, Clarity, and Azure DevOps.
Qualifications
- Current enrollment in an accredited university co-op program, business or computer science preferred
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Suite of tools (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, etc.)
- Desire to problem solve and work with others to map out processes to pinpoint improvements
- Proficiency in written and verbal English communication
- Curiosity, drive for excellence and deep interest in technology
