We are seeking a licensed Industrial Maintenance Millwright (433A) with strong electrical aptitude to join our maintenance team. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for the installation, troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance of all plant equipment in a fast-paced, heavy fabrication environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on CNC machining centers, plasma/laser cutting tables, overhead cranes, welders (sub-arc, MIG, robotic), presses, saws, and material handling systems

  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical/PLC issues

  • Fabricate and install guards, brackets, and modifications as needed

  • Read and interpret mechanical drawings, hydraulic/pneumatic schematics, and OEM manuals

  • Actively participate in developing and improving our PM program

  • Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment

  • Maintain accurate maintenance records

  • Support lockout/tagout procedure creation and safety audits

  • Work with outside contractors when required

  • Maintain a clean and organized shop environment

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Valid Ontario Certificate of Qualification – Industrial Mechanic Millwright (433A) required

  • Dual-ticket 442A/309A Construction & Maintenance Electrician considered a strong asset

  • Minimum 5 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing/fabrication environment

  • Experience with heavy industrial equipment (cranes, welders, CNC machines, hydraulics) is essential

  • Strong troubleshooting skills – mechanical and basic electrical (480V, drives, PLC I/O checking)

  • Proficient with precision measuring tools, rigging, and welding/fabrication

  • Solid computer skills

  • Excellent safety record and knowledge of the Occupational Health & Safety Act

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Strong communication and documentation skills

  • Valid driver's license
