The Role

As a
Manager/Senior
Manager
in our
Private Companies and Personal Tax
team at Manning Elliott LLP, you will play a pivotal role in managing a diverse client portfolio that includes compilation engagements for companies, as well as corporate and personal tax returns. Your responsibilities will encompass overseeing engagement teams committed to delivering exceptional service and high-quality client deliverables, ensuring that our clients receive the utmost care and attention in every interaction.

In this leadership position, you will demonstrate your strong leadership skills by inspiring and guiding your team, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment that encourages professional growth and development. Mentoring relationships will be a key focus, as you nurture talent within the team and contribute to their ongoing success.

Additionally, you will play an active role in business development and growth initiatives within the practice, working closely with partners and stakeholders to identify opportunities for expansion and enhanced client service. Your ability to balance client management with strategic growth efforts will be crucial in advancing the goals of Manning Elliott LLP and solidifying our reputation as a leader in the industry.

What You'll Do

  • Manage multiple client engagements, ensuring priorities are effectively addressed.
  • Oversee all aspects of client service, ensuring quality and satisfaction.
  • Lead and mentor team members, providing guidance and support to enhance productivity.
  • Analyze engagement work-in-progress (WIP) and assist in the billing process.
  • Collaborate with team members to deliver exceptional service and drive project success.
  • Engage with clients to understand their needs and foster strong, lasting relationships.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that promote efficiency and effectiveness.

What You Bring

  • Educational Background:
    CPA designation with a minimum of two years-post qualification experience
  • Experience:
    Proven track record in delivering quality client service and managing a private company portfolio.
  • Skills:
    Strong professional judgment, excellent communication and presentation abilities, and proficient language skills (both written and verbal), including Mandarin or Cantonese.
  • Team Player:
    Effective leader with the ability to coach, mentor, and build strong interpersonal relationships.
  • Growth Mindset:
    In-depth technical knowledge of relevant professional standards, emerging laws, regulations, and corporate governance requirements.
