Job Description

Position Overview

The System Integration Manager leads the overall integration strategy and execution for the LRT project, ensuring that all individual systems; Rolling Stock, Signaling and Control, Power Infrastructure, Fare Systems, and OMSF—work together as a cohesive, safe, and reliable operational system. This role oversees testing, commissioning, and validation activities to achieve successful system handover.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the System Integration Management Plan defining integration strategy, approach, milestones, and success criteria.
  • Lead cross-functional integration teams to coordinate activities across Rolling Stock, TSP/OCC, overhead catenary systems, PRESTO fare integration, and OMSF operations.
  • Define and manage system integration testing strategy including factory acceptance testing, site acceptance testing, and integrated system testing.
  • Oversee commissioning and pre-revenue service activities to validate system performance meets operational requirements.
  • Coordinate with Interface Manager to ensure all system interfaces are properly integrated and tested.
  • Establish integration verification procedures and acceptance criteria for each integration phase.
  • Manage integration risks, issues, and dependencies across all project systems.
  • Lead readiness reviews and gate assessments to authorize progression through integration milestones.
  • Coordinate with RAMS Manager to ensure safety requirements are integrated throughout system integration activities.
  • Develop and track integration testing schedules, resource requirements, and progress reporting.
  • Ensure lessons learned from integration activities are captured and shared with project
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Systems, Electrical, or related discipline); Master's degree strongly preferred.
  • Minimum 12 years of progressive experience in rail or transit system integration with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of LRT systems architecture, integration methodologies, and testing protocols.
  • Proven track record of successfully integrating complex multi-system transit projects from design through commissioning.
  • Strong understanding of signaling systems, traction power, rolling stock interfaces, and control systems.
  • Experience with commissioning management and operational readiness processes.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills with ability to coordinate diverse technical disciplines.
  • Strong analytical and systems thinking capabilities with strategic planning experience.
  • Proficiency in project management tools, integration testing software, and requirements management systems.
  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation preferred.
  • Decisive judgment with ability to resolve complex technical challenges under pressure.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments.
