Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness ensuring a comfortable and welcoming environment for our guests. This role offers an opportunity to provide exceptional customer service while demonstrating strong organizational and cleaning skills. Prior experience in hospitality is a plus, but we value reliability and a positive attitude above all. Fluency in English is required; knowledge of French is advantageous. The position emphasizes excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills to efficiently complete assigned tasks.

Duties

  • Clean guest rooms and bathrooms, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping.
  • Replace used towels and bathroom amenities with clean stocked items.
  • Replenish room supplies such as toiletries, coffee/tea, tissues, cups, and stationery.
  • Empty trash cans and remove recyclables and waste according to hotel standards.
  • Inspect guest rooms for maintenance issues and report damages or repair needs to the front desk or maintenance team.
  • Sanitize high-touch areas such as door handles, remotes, light switches, and telephones.
  • Ensure proper usage, storage, and handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
  • Assist with laundry duties including washing, drying, folding, and stocking linens.
  • Maintain housekeeping carts, storage rooms, and closets in clean and organized condition.
  • Respond promptly to guest requests and provide excellent customer service.
  • Ensure rooms meet the hotel's quality and cleanliness standards before guest check-in.
  • Work collaboratively with other housekeeping and front desk staff to ensure smooth daily operations.

Requirements

  • Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience in hotels/hospitality is an asset.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift.
  • Ability to lift up to 25–30 lbs (10–14 kg) (linens, supplies, vacuum, etc.).
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow cleaning standards.
  • Good time-management skills and ability to work independently.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, especially during peak check-out times.
  • Must be reliable, punctual, and have a positive work attitude.
  • Must be able to communicate basic information in English (speaking/reading).
  • Able to work weekends, holidays, and varied shifts as required.
