South Country Village is looking for dedicated, motivated, and passionate individuals to join our team as a Cook. At SCV, our Cooks are responsible for meal preparation, food service and maintaining work areas in a safe and sanitary condition within established standards. Their role is to facilitate food production in the main kitchen by preparing nutritious meals and snacks within a team, reflecting the shared vision and values of SCV in accordance with Public Health Regulations, other applicable standards

Qualifications

  • Previous cooking experience is required
  • Has Food Safe Course
  • Dependable, enthusiastic team player with excellent communication skills
  • Caring, compassionate individual who enjoys interacting with seniors;
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment while effectively handling multiple tasks and resident requests
  • Highly organized and detail focused;
  • Successful candidate will be required to submit a current, clear Criminal Record
  • and Vulnerable Sector Check no older than 6 months.

Shift Hours

  • The successful candidate must be willing to work a combination of the following shift times: 6AM - 6PM (12 hour shift), 10AM - 6PM (8 hour shift) & 8:30AM - 4:30PM (8 hour shift).

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.38-$20.74 per hour

Expected hours: 30 per week
