Position Overview:
We are seeking an AMI-trained Casa Directress to join our dedicated and supportive team. The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm, professionalism, and a deep understanding of the Montessori philosophy to our Casa environment (ages 2.5–6). The Directress will guide children through a rich Montessori curriculum while fostering their independence, curiosity, and social-emotional growth in a caring and respectful setting.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain a beautiful, organized, and stimulating Montessori environment.
- Observe and guide each child based on their individual needs, interests, and developmental stages.
- Foster independence, confidence, and a strong sense of community among the children.
- Communicate regularly and warmly with parents, providing updates on their child's development and progress.
- Collaborate with classroom assistants and fellow staff to create a cohesive and positive learning environment.
- Uphold AMI standards and the Montessori philosophy in all aspects of classroom practice.
Qualifications:
- AMI Montessori Diploma (Casa Level, ages 2.5–6) required.
- Experience in a Casa classroom preferred.
- Passion for working with children and supporting their natural development.
- Excellent communication, observation, and organizational skills.
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Professional, reliable, and nurturing demeanor.
