  • Serve as a specialist advisor to decision making bodies on developing and applying data management processes and controls.

  • Define, develop, operationalize and improve standards, processes, tools and best practices related to data governance foundations.

  • Coordinate identification of the sector's data needs and opportunities to help define strategic directions for data governance.

  • Help the sector's decision making bodies analyze risks and potential gaps between what is set out in the governance documents and their operational practices.

  • Lead the development and implementation of practices and mechanisms to ensure compliance with the governance documents that apply to data.
